Bonus Ep! KIJUN LEE, Concert Producer: Bong Joon Ho’s Mother (2009) Live Score at Town Hall

#BONGHIVE pull up to Town Hall on Saturday April 20!
Guitar virtuoso and film composer Byeong Woo Lee (left). Still from the Bong Joon Ho’s 2009 film Mother (right).

Kijun Lee has been living in NYC for the last thirty years, earning a BA at The New School and an MFA at Rutgers University for Jazz Piano and Jazz Studies. He’s been writing about the jazz music scene through his journalism for over twenty years and his live concert work includes experiences in research, stage direction, and being a booking agent.

He is the concert producer for Town Hall’s upcoming double feature:

BYEONG WOO LEE Guitar Concert + BONG JOON HO’S MOTHER LIVE

I had a lovely chat with him about his personal relationship with Byeong Woo Lee, his own unique observations on Lee’s music, and what the experience of producing this double feature has been like over the past year.

Get your tickets to the double feature BYEONG WOO LEE Guitar Concert + BONG JOON-HO’S MOTHER LIVE at Town Hall on Saturday April 20.

Town Hall is a 1,500-seat, 501C3 non-profit national historic landmark venue in the heart of New York City, created by suffragists in 1921 and host to countless cultural and musical milestones.
